Tool support for Design Token standard

I am curious what the current state of support is for the design token standards between tools. For example:

https://terrazzo.app => https://penpot.app => https://terrazzo.app
https://figma.com => https://terrazzo.app

etc.

Essentially, can one already easily (or relatively easily) export tokens from Figma in a format that a tool such as Terrazzo can understand and transform into CSS? Thanks so much.

This was posted right before DTCG 2025.10 was released. But the hope with the stable version is “the standard is the standard,” and all the custom extensions that were added to support resolvers slowly fade away, and tools just support the standard itself.

That said, we’re not there yet. Figma has added basic export support for v2025.10, but not resolvers yet. PenPot also supports some parts of v2025.10 but not everything. We’re hoping that over the next year the gaps fill in. But it will just take time.
