Current status of MiniDexed build for 16 TGs? #1013

I just put together a RPi4 so I'll have even more DX goodness to add to my system. It looks like 16 TG capability was added to the main branch a year or so ago? I'm using the 7/2025 build; do I only need to add TGLocal=16 to the MiniDexed.ini file to enable this, or are there other changes required? I poked around in the code but didn't see any place where the TGscore* value was set from the .ini file... |

OK, the 16 TGs seem to work OK once I made sure the MIDI channel was turned on for each desired TG. I haven't maxed it out yet to test the full complement of generators (waiting for my DAC to arrive, so the sound is clean enough to hear real artifacts). One of my crappy encoders is giving me trouble, though. I tried updating to the latest 1/2026 dev build and it helped, but there were still missed pulses when turning the encoder (slowly or quickly). So I added the 10 nF caps and all is well. Just an FYI for those curious about the update, or others testing it. |
